About Me

Hi, I’m Rowan. I grew up in a small town in West Wales, and thanks to a summer course at a nearby university ended up studying Computer Science. 3 years of study later, plus a quick break for an industry year at Mentor Graphics and a summer internship in technical sales at Cisco Systems, I ended up in London. I’m now working at OpenMarket’s Chiswick office, building highly-available microservices in Java to move SMS messages across the world.

I can usually be found in the various software meetups of London, especially the Go London User Group and Scala Central. I’m at at least semi-active on Linkedin, Twitter, and GitHub, and can additionally be contacted via email.

Carrier pigeon is also an option.
